Pinterest’s VP of global creative Xanthe Wells is set to return to the Cairns Crocodiles stage for an Down Under exclusive day two appearance.
Wells made a major impact at last year’s event with her packed keynote, Cool Is Not a KPI: Winning With Gen Z, challenging marketers to abandon their obsession with being “cool” and instead focus on authenticity, inclusivity, and utility. Her bold, no-nonsense approach offered a fresh playbook for brands navigating cultural relevance in a rapidly evolving landscape.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Cairns Crocodiles again,” Wells said.
“This industry is evolving faster than ever, and the brands that win won’t be the ones chasing attention. They’ll be the ones earning it, by inspiring people to try new things and take meaningful action in their real lives. I’m excited to share new thinking and practical lessons from inside Pinterest’s global creative engine.”

As VP of global creative at Pinterest, Wells leads the House of Creative, the team behind the record-breaking ‘It’s Possible’ campaign, the most successful and awarded in Pinterest history. She has built a reputation as one of the industry’s most formidable creative leaders, transforming in-house teams into world-class creative powerhouses that drive real business growth.
Prior to Pinterest, she served as global executive creative director at Google, overseeing global campaigns for Pixel, Nest, and Stadia, and earning top honours including a Cannes Grand Prix and D&AD Black Pencil.
Her appearance follows the recent announcement of Pinterest’s first special guest, endurance phenomenon Nedd Brockmann, who will headline day one of the landmark May 12–14 event. Read the full story on Brockmann here.
