B&T is set to re-establish its Melbourne office with journalist Jessica Kennedy to lead it in the new role of senior reporter, Melbourne.
Kennedy, currently based in Sydney, will make the move in early May.
The appointment is a return to home for the Melbournian who moved to Sydney to join B&T three years ago.
Editor Alex Hayes said: “B&T had a highly successful Melbourne office for many years, and we felt the time was right for the magazine under its new owners to re-establish our presence there.
“The Melbourne market is among the most creative in the world with some tremendous agencies, and we’re looking forward to much more extensive and thorough on-the-ground coverage of it.”
One of Kennedy’s first tasks will be to host B&T’s Inside Creative event ‘Pushing the Boundaries’ on the evening of May 8. For more information click here.
While Kennedy’s new role is focused on all things Victorian she will continue to contribute to B&T’s national coverage and lead the title’s radio reporting.
Journalist Maddie Ross has also been promoted to senior reporter, and the role sees Ross, who joined B&T in mid-2011, focus more on B&T Magazine working alongside features editor Lucy Clark, as well as the popular weekly video segment The Brief.
These staffing changes follow the appointment of new news editor Andrew Jennings in March.
