Are Media, Australia’s #1 women’s lifestyle network, has strengthened its commercial team with two strategic appointments, with Bonnie Ilett joining as Senior Client Partner in Queensland, and Delwyn Smith stepping into the role of Agency Lead for Are Media in Victoria.
Ilett will report to Judy Taylor, Are Media’s head of sales for QLD, SA and WA, focusing on deepening engagement with agencies and clients across the publisher’s digital, print, social and experiential platforms.
Taylor said: “I’m thrilled to welcome someone of Bonnie’s calibre to the Are Media team. She will play a key role in driving successful commercial content partnerships across Queensland. Bonnie is well known in the market and brings extensive experience across content and digital media”.
Ilett joins Are Media from Urban List, where she spent the past three years in senior sales roles, following earlier experience at The Australian Traffic Network and APN Outdoor.
“It’s such an exciting time to join Are Media,” said Ilett. “They bring content to life like no one else through some of Australia’s most trusted and loved media brands. I look forward to showcasing the breadth of opportunities on offer and helping brands connect with millions of Australian women in powerful ways”.
In Victoria, Delwyn Smith has been appointed agency lead, reporting into Nis Malik, Victorian head of sales. Smith will be responsible for leading agency relationships and strengthening Are Media’s commercial partnerships across the Victorian market.
Smith joins from The Guardian, where she led the Victorian sales operation. “I’m excited to be joining Are Media at such a pivotal time, when the economic and cultural influence of women has never been more apparent — and when creativity and brands need to rise to meet them,” said Smith. “The strength of Are’s content, the ambition of the team, and the opportunity to build deeper, more strategic content partnerships with Victorian agencies really excites me”.
Nis Malik said: “Delwyn’s reputation, strategic thinking and agency relationships make her a strong addition to our Victorian team. Her expertise will be instrumental as we continue to elevate our offering and deliver meaningful results for our partners”.
