Aquira Finds A New Home With Australian Radio Network

Global broadcast software company RCS has signed a deal with Australian Radio Network (ARN) for its Aquira service.

ARN’s stations broadcast across six metropolitan markets to over five million people each week. The company has 12 radio stations and accompanying websites and social accounts.

Aquira is a traffic system designed for local and national sized radio businesses that provides real-time access to sales and inventory data and a vast range of scheduling, billing and reporting options. The system helps manage clients, prospects and sales team call activity.

Aquira has served the ARN offices since 1 May, which has since benefited from the innovative installation process provided by RCS. All clients, contracts and media were imported using the Aquira API, and this progress will be integrated and used for future collaborations.

ARN’s commercial operations director, Tracey Gillan, said: “When ARN was looking at its options for enhancement of its overall commercial operations infrastructure, we were impressed with the improvements that had been made to the Aquira platform over the years.

“We saw significant improvements with the sales front-end Aquira2Go, including visibility of live avails, to the platform’s digital capabilities, as well as the opportunity to have our billing and accounts receivable function contained within the platform.

“Easy integration with our CRM, Salesforce, as well as a developed API for the RadioMatrix platform made Aquira an attractive option. We felt Aquira was the best solution to support our ongoing innovation across the products we deliver for our commercial partners.”

Keith Williams, vice president for the Asia Pacific at RCS, said: “RCS and ARN have a longstanding history together. Bringing traffic to our mix of software solutions solidifies our future together as we are both committed to Australian radio.”

Philippe Generali, president and CEO of RCS, added: “ARN is a strong advocate for creative media and progressive technologies. Aquira will match ARNs aggressive selling strategy in tandem with a full feature set in a tailormade-for-radio CRM platform.”
