Coles’ former CCO Amanda McVay will join the Myer Group as chief customer officer in the coming weeks.
The news follows the resignation of Geoff Ikin earlier this year.
McVay brings over 23 years of leadership experience in large retail organisations across the United States, with expertise spanning e-commerce, loyalty, marketing, data analytics, and commercial buying.
McVay spent more than a decade at Meijer Inc., a regional super-centre chain of approximately 260 stores in the US, holding the roles of group vice-president marketing & digital and group vice-president of commercial, grocery. Prior to that, she spent nine years at Target.
In early 2023, McVay relocated to Melbourne and served as Chief Customer Officer at Coles, leading marketing, media, customer data and insights, loyalty, and retail media teams. She also held a role as director of the Flybuys Board during this period. In May 2025, she announced her departure from the supermarket giant.
In an email to staff, seen by B&T, Myer executive Chair Olivia Wirth said: “Amanda and her family are now calling Melbourne home and I am thrilled she has decided to join the Myer Group. Geoff will have a short handover period with Amanda with his last day at Myer on November 14”.
Teresa Rendo, managing director of apparel brands, has also resigned and will leave the Myer Group in 2026. Since joining in 2022, Rendo has guided the team through significant transformation, including supporting the acquisition of the Just Group brands, championing the Just Jeans store of the future, and overseeing the launch of the Myer One loyalty program across the Apparel Brands business.
B&T understands that a search is underway to appoint a new leader for the Apparel Brands division.
