The Alliance Française Film Festival held its opening night in Sydney yesterday, with the Australian premiere of Cédric Klapisch’s film Colours of Time.
The Alliance Française Film Festival is the largest showing of French cinema outside of France and runs until 8 April around the country.
More than 200,000 moviegoers will attend the festival over the course of March and early April.
The festival’s presenting partner is Kérastase. BNP Paribas, Western Union, Blue Illusion, New Caledonia Tourism, Aircalin and TV5 Monde are are also sponsoring the festival. JCDecaux and Schwartz Media’s The Monthly and The Saturday Paper are the media partners.
Present at the opening night were Margaret Beazley, governor of New South Wales and Pierre-André Imbert, the French ambassador to Australia. Actress Gracie Otto also featured on stage.
