Alice Almeida has landed the newly created innovation and insights manager position at competition intelligence company Hitwise — a division of digital marketing company Connexity.
Almeida joins Hitwise from e-commerce group Aussie Commerce where she held the position of head of insights across the Aussie Commerce group, and has 15 years industry experience in data, insights and research.
Prior to this, she was the insights manager across Asia Pacific and South Africa for Exponential Interactive, and has held positions with Channel Nine, the Seven Network, News Digital Media and Fairfax Digital.
Almeida has also been instrumental in building Australian first research pieces having held positions on both the Australian IAB Measurement and Research Councils.
She will be based in Sydney with a remit to build the Hitwise brand in the local market, and to educate clients on AudienceView — the firm’s new audience segmentation and behavioural analytics platform.
Commenting on Almeida’s appointment, Hitwise general manager, Helen Xenofontos said, “She is a highly-regarded consumer research and measurement expert in the Australian market and will help advance market adoption of AudienceView.”
