Alex Volkanovski Joins Sporting Royalty In Kia & Domain’s ‘Tasman Town’ Sequel

What do you get when you mix some of the greatest sporting champions, a tough new ute, and a little real estate magic? You get a booming regional town where houses are snapped up in a flash.

In a one-of-a-kind collaboration, Domain and Kia have reunited the iconic “tradies” from Kia’s Tasman Ute campaign, made famous during Ash Barty’s unforgettable home renovation – to sell yet another property up the road, just 24 hours after it was listed on Domain.

The original Tasman Town ad had Aussies hooked, with Ash Barty leading a tradie dream team getting their hands dirty and showing off Kia’s new Tasman Ute.

In the latest instalment, MMA fighter Alex ‘Volk’ Volkanovski arrives as a prospective buyer, only to find AFL icon Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin (from ‘Your Paint Buddy’), NRL great Alfie Langer (from ‘Langer’s Hangers’) and cricket hero David Boon (from ‘Boony’s Clean Sweep’) hilariously adding their finishing touches to the home.

Although the home is now officially off the market and in the hands of ‘Volk’, property enthusiasts can still explore the listing exclusively on Domain, complete with a video tour hosted by local agent, Madge Doyle.

The Tasman Town Home features include:

  • An original bank vault (great for medals, and for hiding from media)
  • A full-length balcony made for victory celebrations
  • Lawn laid by Pat Rafter himself – officially “Best on Grass”
  • Water pressure that’s smoother than a Luc Longley free throw
  • A vacant block at the rear, perfect for a fleet of Kia Tasman Utes.

“We’ve loved working with Kia to bring this idea to life,” said Domain’s acting chief marketing officer, Heather McGovern.

“It gave us the perfect opportunity to have some fun, surprise a few people and celebrate everything Aussies love most – sport, humour, and homes with real character. Collaborating with Kia on Tasman Town just made sense, and showcasing it exclusively on Domain, the home of big, bold listings, brought it all together”.

“Aussies have really connected with Tasman Town and we’re excited to share the next chapter with some of our favourite tradies rolling their sleeves up again,” said Kia Australia’s GM marketing, Dean Norbiato.

“Partnering with Domain felt like a natural next step. Together, we’ve brought the town to life in a fresh and memorable way that highlights Tasman Town’s community spirit: reliable, down to earth, and always up for a bit of banter, especially with the sporting royalty who call the postcode home.”
