Airtasker has launched on ChatGPT, making it the first local services marketplace to enable bookings to be completed end-to-end within one conversation on an AI platform.
Users can now post, browse or assign a task without redirects or app switching. Users can describe what work they need done in their own words, and ChatGPT will write the task description, suggest a budget, and help assign a Tasker, entirely within the chat.
Airtasker removes the blank-page problem of starting a task from scratch, and cuts out the back-and-forth of switching between an AI chat and a separate app to actually get something done.
Airtasker’s ChatGPT Plugin is built on our Remote MCP server, a public endpoint any AI agent can connect to.
While the ChatGPT Plugin makes it a one-click add for ChatGPT users, hobbyists and AI power users can connect Airtasker to whatever agent they run, whether that’s Claude, Cursor, n8n, Google Antigravity, Grok Bot, OpenClaw or Hermes Agent, using the setup guide below.
The MCP server covers both sides of the marketplace: browsing and posting tasks, viewing offers, accepting an offer with payment held securely, and viewing Taskers’ public profile. Users sign in with their Airtasker account to securely grant access and can disconnect it at any time.

The typical task is also worth 20 per cent more than the marketplace average, suggesting that when people have the right information upfront, they feel more confident investing in getting it done properly.”
ChatGPT users will receive $50 off tasks posted through Airtasker’s connector with a minimum task price of $200, available until 13 September 2026.
