The US presidential election race has descended into a bit of a farce and so it’s good to see campaigners having a laugh.
A new spot takes aim at Democrat hopeful Joe Biden and is a spoof of the 80s flick A Weekend At Bernie’s where the star of the film was dead the entire movie.
The spot’s the work of a group calling itself No To Joe Pac and finishes with the tag “Keep ‘sleepy’ Joe out of the Oval Office”.
The ad was created by 30-year-old Nick Ward who also appears in the spot as the beanie-wearer attempting to prop Joe up the entire time.
Ward telling Fox News he created the campaign to be funny and not offensive.
“I actually hope that Joe Biden sees this and laughs,” he said. “Sometimes things like humour allow you to look at aspects of yourself, or what you’re involved with, in a way that you weren’t willing to acknowledge before.”
