A tech start-up, A Perfect Space is a bespoke location engine built for the production and creative industries, providing clients with a personalised experience combined with an interactive search engine that fast tracks the location sourcing and booking process.
“The response from the industry since we launched has been overwhelming, demonstrating the demand that exists for an end-to-end digital solution that solves a lot of the pain points many producers and creatives face when it comes to searching, shortlisting and booking locations for shoots,” said Mitchell.
“We launched to market with a bang, riding on the ever growing need for content and the explosion of Netflix and other streaming services – and now it is time to ensure we have the senior resources and expertise in the team to evolve our business offer and take it to the next stage,” she added.
“Since joining Cathy has been overseeing A Perfect Space while helping to open the doors in international markets alongside our team in the US – especially at a time when US production companies are looking to Australia for safe shoot locations as a result of the impact of COVID-19.
“We are excited to have Steph on board to continue to transform our digital platform, ensuring our customer experience and automation is seamless when it comes to searching, booking and hiring our locations.”
“I am excited to lead a strong team at A Perfect Space and drive the innovation and evolution of the business a time where a need for this platform is stronger than ever, demonstrating our future potential growth,” said Thomas.
Drawing on her own personal experience and frustrations with the antiquated process of finding locations, Mitchell saw the opportunity to shortcut the time and money that was often wasted in finding the right location by transforming and automating the process digitally, with an experienced team on hand to deliver personal services that complement the digital tech.
“At a time when COVID-19 has amplified the need for technology and greater efficiencies to deliver services, we’re excited about the year ahead and the future growth opportunities for the business,” added Mitchell.
