The premiere of Nine’s new eight-episode Underbelly Squizzy just made it into the top 10 most-watched free to air TV shows last night, winning 859,000 viewers and placing eighth.
Seven’s The X Factor claimed top spot in last night’s free to air television shows, pulling in 1.552 million viewers for Seven.
The reality show pipped Nine to the post with the biggest audience, beating Nine’s 60 Minutes by just 59,000 viewers, according to figures from Oztam.
Nine News and Domestic Blitz – The Block to the Rescue came in third and fourth place last night, with 1.419 million and 1.359 million viewers respectively.
Seven News and Dream Build on ABC1 also both broke the one million viewers mark.
Completing the top 10 were Anh Does Britain on Seven (954,000 viewers), Grand Designs Revisited on ABC1 (853,000 viewers) and ABC News (851,000 viewers).
Ten’s Masterchef Australia was the network’s highest ranking show, pulling in an audience of 705,000.
The Ashes failed to win Network Gem a place in the top 10 most-watched shows this time, coming in 16th place with 571,000 cricket fans tuning in to watch day four of the third test.
Just over two weeks ago, day one of the second Ashes test won 807,000 viewers, putting Gem in ninth place in the rankings.
