Commercial printing company Geon Group has been pushed into receivership by new owners and private equity firms KKR and Allegro Funds.

US-owned KKR and Australian partner Allegro have reportedly since made offers on Geon to receiver McGrath Nicol.

Geon’s staff in Melbourne and New Zealand have been told the company will continue to operate as normal, according to Fairfax.

Meanwhile, another Melbourne-based printer, Vega Press, also went into receivership yesterday.
