This week Maddie Ross talks to David Lynn, EVP of international content distribution, and MD across the UK, Australia and Eastern Europe for Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), about the future of broadcast TV.

Lynn is responsible for VIMN’s 63 TV channels, 19 online properties and four mobile TV channels which include MTV, VH1 and VIVA, in addition to the BSKYB joint venture businesses Nickelodeon, Nick Jr and Comedy Central.

We caught up with him at the 11th annual Australian Broadcasting Summit where he talked to us about the opportunities posed by media convergence in enhancing audience engagement, and why technology is deepening the relationship between viewer and content.

He also discusses the epic challenges associated with measuring audiences across platforms, and shares his thoughts on what TV broadcasters must do to stay relevant moving forward.

Take a look.
