Ten’s The Biggest Loser: Next Generation has rallied with the absence of My Kitchen Rules, pushing above the million mark.
The Biggest Loser was the fourth most watched program with 1.014 million viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
The million plus result comes after The Biggest Loser doubled last week’s result of 499,000 to hit 998,000 and made its way back into the top 10 after dropping out of the top 20.
The weight-loss competition dominated the 7.30 pm slot when Seven’s Border Security had 823,000 viewers and Nine’s second episode of The Big Bang Theory claimed 709,000 sets of eyeballs.
Seven’s drama Revenge sat in third place behind first-runner Seven News and Nine News with an audience of 1.072 million.
Seven claimed the largest share of all free to air viewers with 21.4%. Nine came second with 16.7% and was just ahead of the ABC on 16.6%.
The ABC had a strong night with three top 10 shows and seven top 20. Its best performing program was ABC News with 1.004 million, followed by Australian Story (898,000) and 7.30 (827,000).
Ten’s took a 15% share while SBS had 3.2%.
