Jim Beam has released its first ‘Make History’ television ad starring Hollywood actress Mila Kunis.

The ‘Questions’ ad, created by FutureWorks which is a joint venture including Sydney independent agency The Works, launched in the US overnight.

It shows Kunis taking the viewer through some of the key moments in Jim Beam’s 219 year history including the Civil War, Prohibition the 1960s and 1980s.

It wraps with the actress asking the viewers how they will make their history.

Paul Swann, creative partner at The Works said: “The campaign is a nod to Jim Beam’s heritage and how the bourbon is lovingly crafted as well as challenging consumers to make their own history whether that be special moments with friends and family or individual achievements.

“The collaboration between all three FutureWorks agencies has been exceptional and The Works is delighted to have played a key role in creating the ‘Questions’ spot.”

Kunis’ ambassadorship role with Jim Beam was announced in January this year.

She is the brand’s first global ambassador and is set to star in another two ads for the alcohol label.

The ‘Questions’ ad will launch in Australia in March across free-to-air and pay TV. The campaign will also include outdoor, digital and print activities.

The FutureWorks venture also includes the US’ StrawberryFrog and Jung von Matt in Germany.
