Mindshare Sydney has imported a Canadian to fill the role vacated by the agency’s new CEO Katie Rigg-Smith.
Sarah Musgrave, who is originally from Canada but has been working in the UK since 2001, has joined the leadership team of the media agency as head of strategy.
Rigg-Smith was promoted from chief strategy officer to CEO in April.
Musgrave (pictured, left, with Rigg-Smith) started her career as an account planner at Saatch & Saatchi and Publicis, before moving into media with GroupM. She joins from MEC in London where she was group strategy director across Johnson & Johnson, Mulberry, Chanel, Beiersdorf and Bacardi.
She said: “I am so proud to be joining Mindshare here in Sydney and to be part of an agency where creativity and uniqueness are so roundly embraced and encouraged.
“Katie has collected a great bunch of brains in the strategy team and I am lucky they are such lovely personalities as well. Over in Europe, we’ve been watching exceptional case studies come out of APAC and Australia for the last six years, and I look forward to putting out many more with this talented agency and our fantastic clients.”
Rigg-Smith added: “Sarah is a really strong strategic talent and someone that I had been keen to lure to Australia for quite some time. I am thrilled that when the opportunity arose for a new head of strategy here in Sydney that it was the right time for her.”
