The MX has scooped the gongs for the two best ads of the year for major newspapers at the annual PANPA Ad Awards for in-house excellence in advertising solutions.
It’s executions for MX Wrap on Live Editorial and Big Bash won the 90,000+ circulation best single ad for a client and best single campaign for a client in Sydney last night.
West Australian Newspapers picked up a few awards while News also scooped some gongs, but Fairfax failed to pick up any awards in the major categories.
New Zealand scooped two of the three advertising executive of the year gongs, but David Trott, key account manager for the Victorian Government at News Australia Victoria was named display advertising exec of the year.
Chief executive of The Newspaper Works Mark Hollands said: “It’s very encouraging to see how high the standards are – and the fact they are rising every year, particularly across regional publishing.”
