The spice girls, Jessie and Biswa, were booted out of the kitchen in My Kitchen Rules’ last night as 2.172 million watched the competition’s first eviction episode.
MKR dominated the 7.30pm slot where it was up against Glee on Ten and the cricket on Nine.
The cricket claimed an audience of 1.077 million viewers and sat in fifth place while Glee was in 20th with only 377,000.
More than 700,0000 viewers stayed on Seven at the conclusion of MKR to watch the Notting Hill movie.
The ABC had a strong night with three in the top 10, led by ABC News in seventh the Agony of Life came ninth with 678,000 viewers as Shock Horror Aunty rounded off the top 10 with 674,000 viewers.
Nine News was the evening’s second most watched program with an audience of 1.327 million ahead of Seven News’ audience of 1.203 million.
Seven’s main channel won a 29.8% share of free-to-air audiences compared to Nine’s 23.2% and Ten’s 8.5%.
The ABC took an 11.8% share and the SBS claimed 3.9%.
