Advertising agency BWM has acquired digital communications agency Sputnik with which it has formed a “close relationship” due to two joint clients.
The acquisition was made on the final day of 2012.
Sputnik will continue to operate under its own brand but the agency’s Sydney and Melbourne offices will be merged or “co-located” with BWM Melbourne and Sydney.
Nick Lewis is to continue as chief executive of the digital agency.
Paul Williams, chief executive officer of BWM, said in a statement: “Sputnik is a good fit for BWM because it complements our offer. Sputnik and BWM have previously worked together on their joint clients Sanitarium and GE Money.
Other Sputnik clients include Google and Schweppes.
