Easter programming dethrones Seven

Seven has been dethroned in the ratings war as the network winds down for Easter programming.

Without ratings powerhouse My Kitchen Rules, which will not be broadcast again until after Easter, Nine narrowly overtook Seven with a 22% share of all free-to-air viewers.

Seven took a 21.1% share of Thursday night television viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Seven did achieve the coveted most watched program as 1.074 million people tuned in to Seven News.

Nine News was watched by 1.024 million people.

Seven’s Bones sat in eighth place with 742,000 viewers while Home and Away was in fourth with 925,000 viewers.

Nine’s The Footy Show pulled in an audience of 721,000 viewers in ninth place.

The Checkout on the ABC nabbed a top 10 spot, sitting in seventh place it wooed an audience of 795,000 viewers.

Ten’s best performing show was Ten News at Five in 14th place with 534,000 viewers.

The Project sat in 18th place with 489,000 viewers just ahead of Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals with an audience of 452,000.

Ten took a 10.9% share of all viewers behind the ABC’s 13.5%. SBS claimed a share of 5%.
