A glimpse inside a luxury ocean liner proved more alluring to television viewers than summer-sport staple cricket last night.
Inside Queen Mary 2 was the third most watched program on Sunday night, pulling in 1.120 million viewers for Seven, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
The second session of the One Day Cricket – Australia v Sri Lanka Game 2 followed with 1.047 million viewers.
The first session of the game sat in sixth place, winning an audience of 881,000 viewers for Nine.
In fifth place with 920,000 viewers, sat Seven’s Border Patrol. Coastwatch topped off the top 10 with 708,000 viewers tuning into Seven’s program.
It was another news heavy night of television with Seven’s bulletin gaining the top spot with 1.327 million viewers.
Nine News was hot on Seven’s heels though with an audience of 1.308 million.
ABC News had 797,000 viewers and ABC News Update gained an audience of 732,000.
The ABC’s Restoration Home also made its way into the top 10, in eighth place the program had 756,000 viewers.
Nine won the night overall with a 30.2% all free-to-air share. Seven claimed 27.7% and was followed by the ABC with 17.2% and Ten on 16.6%. SBS took a share of 8.3%.
