Coles uses little red car in new insurance push

Coles has launched a new campaign for its car insurance product today building on the collateral of the Big red Hand and bringing the animated Little Red Car to life in a 45-second spot.

Created by the supermarket’s agency Big Red it uses the tagline ‘little red quote’ to push a new price guarantee for the brand.

It goes to air tonight and features a 45-second, 0-second and three 15-second product-centred versions, along with a ‘catchy’ jingle.

To coincide with the launch Coles is taking a convoy of little red cars on an interstate road trip starting at Melbourne tomorrow and Bendigo, Albury and Wodonga and Canberra on their way to Sydney.

Group director, marketing, Simon McDowell, said: “We are passionate about building the Coles Big Red Hand to be the most famous symbol of value in Australia and have now turned our attention to the insurance industry.

“Australians are paying too much for insurance, so we are offering great quality product, combined with a Price Beat Guarantee and communicating it to Australia with a bold and engaging campaign – in the unique Coles style.”
