Former BMF managing partner Chris Kay has pitched up at Los Angeles agency 72andSunny, five months after his abrupt departure from Australia.
It was initially believed Brit Kay had returned to Europe to take up an "undisclosed opportunity", but he has now pitched up upon the USA.
He spent less than two years at BMF, moving to Sydney after a stint as Premier League club Manchester City's marketing director.
In a statement he said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Sydney working with some incredibly creative, smart and super nice people, but the opportunity to work at one of the worlds brightest creative businesses with a team of extraordinarily talented individuals was too good to turn down.
"Thanks for having me Sydney."
72andSunny are Ad Age's American Agency of the Year, and Fast Company's 2012 number one creative agency in the world.
