Dancing with the Stars was the clear winner for Tuesday evening attracted 1.331 million viewers, with Seven also winning overall attracting a commanding 34.5 per cent of the evening share, according to preliminary OzTam ratings.
Nine’s top billing program was its 6pm news attracting a healthy 1.315 million eyeballs, but the only managed to have A Current Affair and Big Brother in the top ten programs with 1.036 million and 817,000 viewers respectively. The network managed 24.7 per cent of the share.
The ABC meanwhile had a relatively strong outing, with its documentary Rise of the Continents 700,000 viewers adding to its perennial strong performers in the 7pm news, 1.016 million, and 7.30 Report, 822,000 and Foreign Correspondent 762,000, to give it 18.5 per cent of the total evening audience.
Ten came in fourth with 16.6 per cent of the audience and its most watched program was its Eyewitness News, which came in at 17th place with 633,000 metro viewers.
SBS brought up the rear with a slender 5.7 per cent of the overall free-to-air audience.
