Independent agency The Works has appointed creative lead duo Mark Emerton and Tracy Richardson to further expand its award winning team across its growing client portfolio.

Kick-starting his 19-year career at Boomerang Integrated Marketing, Emerton has held senior creative and art director roles at DDB, RAPP, Droga 5 and OgilvyOne working on clients including American Express, GE Money, Foxtel and Toyota.

Emerton’s wealth of experience across a broad mix of sectors including automotive, banking, charities and healthcare has seen him recognized at ADMA, Caples and Globals along with judge the Global Healthcare Awards and regularly tutor at the Direct Marketing Creative School.

Richardson’s diverse career has seen her work with agencies such as 303Mullen, WiTH Collective, Naked Communications and Ogilvy and across clients including Qantas Loyalty, Fuji Xerox, Sydney Swans, Commonwealth Bank and Telstra.

An award winning skillset for creating surprising and impactful client solutions, Richardson has received recognition for over 30 awards across Australia, Europe, the UK and the US including a Grand Prix at ADMA.

Damian Pincus, partner of The Works said, “Mark and Tracy’s experience compliments each other perfectly, as creative leads they will both play a vital role at The Works. Their diverse background creates a dynamic package and we are thrilled to have them onboard and looking forward to producing more award winning work.”

Emerton and Richardson added, “We are extremely excited to be working both together and at The Works, the unique creative model at the agency is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with clients, explore a different mindset and produce innovative campaign ideas.”

As a business and communications specialist I have worked across various brand industries including; travel, high and beverage, fashion, beauty and government industries. My outstanding reputation in the industry has been attained through meticulous dealings, managing clients, sponsors, media, agencies and delivering exemplary campaigns, brand partnership and event concepts. Some of my recent national campaigns include the launch of The Works 'return to work' policy offering $100 per day childcare bonus, the sixth annual Datafication research project and the launch of tech start-up, On Message. My diverse experience has provided me with a wealth of relationships that have been influential in campaigns with General Pants, 2DAY FM, Mamamia Network, The Lifestyle Channel and various others. My creative passion for campaigns and results can be seen through my passion for equality and supporting women in the workplace, launching the 'Unlock your Impossible' campaign with Katherine Sabbath and Nigella Lawson for Business Chicks. The three-day 'Robots Unrivalled' activation for the launch of Contiki's first Japan tour which provided nine sell out shows within 12 minutes with no paid support. I am continuously motivated to learn and challenge myself both professionally and personally to achieve optimum results for clients whilst developing my skills and relationships to further my career.
