Val Morgan Outdoor Launches Interactive Energizer Outdoor Campaign

Val Morgan Outdoor has teamed up with MEC and Energizer to bring to life the energy and innovation of the Energizer brand in a fun and immersive gesture control digital experience.

The digital experience, which launches today at St Ives Shopping Village and Werribee Plaza, allows passer-by to play table tennis against the brand’s famous icon; Mr. Energizer on a 90” digital super-screen.

Val Morgan Outdoor has converted user movements into commands using gesture and motion-tracking – users control the action, no device is required. Users are invited to wave their hands and take control of a virtual paddle in a game of table tennis against the Energizer man.

Val Morgan Outdoor managing director Anthony Deeble commented: “This is yet another digital experience we’ve built to create a positive brand experience. This brings to life both our innovation capabilities and Energizer’s commitment to innovation in a high-impact, highly engaging digital retail OOH environment.”

Director of digital and innovation, Matthew Bushby, said: “This fun and interactive game is another customised digital experiential solution our team have delivered to help amplify and deliver an immersive brand experience.”

The table tennis game promoting Energizer’s new Eco Advanced Batteries – the World’s 1sthigh performance battery made with four per cent recycled batteries, launches this week and will be in eight shopping centres in New South Wales and Victoria over a four week period. Each of the eight digital experiences is in close proximity to supermarkets and are combined with a package across the Val Morgan Outdoor network to maximize awareness.

Bushby added: “We believe this activation will be a crowd stopper for mums and families – leaving a positive and lasting impression with shoppers prior to heading in-store to continue their shop. We hope they feel completely ‘energized’ from the experience.”
