Season 16 of Seven’s My Kitchen Rules has proved to be a tasty program for viewers. Overnight, episode four reached 1.75 million people and pulled in an average audience of 1 million—serving up the broadcast in fourth spot as the most watch program of the evening.
In the episode, the competition travelled to Melbourne, where loved-up couple Tiffany and Giancarlo aimed to prove their Italian family recipes can top the competition.
And just as the Melbourne couple sought out to achieve, the treasured Italian family recipes earnt the competition’s first perfect 10. Their menu consisted of Parmigiana di Melanzane for entrée, Agnolotti di Coniglio — rabbit-filled pasta — for main, and Sfincia di San Giuseppe al Limone for dessert.
The Italian menu helped Tiffany and Giancarlo to sure to the top of the leader board with 86 points. The couple left some points on the table with a dessert that wasn’t up to the same standard of their opening two courses.
With two more teams left to cook in the opening round, Tiffany and Giancarlo have a healthy 14 point lead.
Nine’s The Block continued its TV dominance, nailing second spot on the ratings (first in the entertainment stakes). Tuesday night’s episode reached 2 million people and raked in an average audience of 1.2 million.
The episode featured just as much drama as it did renovations.
Blockheads were outraged when they inspected House 4’s perfect 10 room (10’s were clearly being thrown around everywhere last night).
From copying elements from other contestants, to a poorly painted ceiling, a few Blockheads questioned whether the room deserved a 10.
Network 10 found itself in 15th place with show The Cheap Seats. The program delivered 10 a reach of 720,000 and an average audience of 380,000.
