Nine’s The Block and Seven’s My Kitchen Rules went head-to-head in the stakes for the most watched entertainment program of the evening.
It was The Block that came out on top with a total TV national reach of 1.8 million and a total TV national average audience of 1.03 million. This just edged out the second episode of the new season of My Kitchen Rules.
Seven’s premier cooking show reached 1.7 million people, pulled in an average audience of 1.02 million and had a BVOD national average audience of 198,000. This is up 29 per cent year-on-year in total TV and up 41 per cent on 7plus.
In episode two of season 16, best mates Angus and Simon host Adelaide’s ‘Last Orders’ Instant Restaurant. The pair served elevated pub classics in a bid to top the leader board.
Unfortunately for Angus and Simon they scored a 70, placing them two points under the best scored team Krysten and Lucy. They are the only two teams to have been scored so far.
The dinner party wasn’t success for all teams, with outspoken South Australian mum Alisha storming out of dinner.
Over on Network 10, The Cheap Seats was the broadcaster’s most watched entertainment program. It reached 772,000 people and pulled in a reach of 422,000.
Taking a fun look at the week that was, Mel Tracina, filling in for Melanie Bracewell, joined Tim McDonald to host The Cheap Seats. Joining in on the action was reporter turned pancake mogul Mitchell Sariovski.
