Network Ten is reportedly so desperate for a ratings winner the ailing broadcaster is considering rolling out (the recently single) Sam Frost for a second stint of this year’s instalment of The Bachelorette.
The 2017 season of is due on air towards the latter end of 2017, and some of the women’s weekly magazines have reported “Sam’s been in talks with the show’s producers”.
This would be Frost’s third stint on the dating series, having been a contestant on 2014’s The Bachelor and then as 2015’s bachelorette. She famously began an 18-month relationship with her pick from the show, Sasha Mielczarek; however the relationship broke down late last year.
Frost also co-hosted the 2DayFM breakfast show alongside comedian Rove McManus from November 2015 to January 2017 until the show was axed for poor ratings.
However, if reports from early March are to be believed, the show’s producers are apparently looking for a bi-sexual bachelorette this time around to add some spice to this year’s series. However, it’s unclear if Frost suits that billing.
According to the reports – published on B&T at the time – the show’s producers had actively sought “Single women between the ages of 25-35 and single men between the ages of 22-35.”
