Businesswomen, philanthropist and VP of the Western Bulldogs, Susan Alberti, is set to speak at PRIA Women in PR Luncheon, returning as Victoria’s flagship event after a long hiatus.
Susan Alberti AC is one of Australia’s pre-eminent philanthropists, having donated millions of dollars to medical research and other charitable causes over her successful business career.
She has taken on Sam Newman in the media and won, been integral to the development of the Women’s AFL, and was recently featured on ABC Australia Story ‘A League of Their Own’. Susan will discuss her personal career challenges and achievements.
The Women in PR Luncheon, taking place at ZINC, Federation Square on Friday 18 November, is expected to attract 250 profession communications women and men.
Now in its 10th year, the event will focus on the importance of gender equity in the workforce.
New PRIA Victoria President, Alex Messina, is thrilled to bring the event back to Victoria after a break of a few years.
“PR is a profession dominated by women so it is particularly important to acknowledge a celebrate this and provide inspiration for women, and all practitioners, to see excellence and themselves excel,” he said.
