Media agency Mindshare Australia has been named in the 2014 Best Places to Work Study published by BRW, taking out 17th place in the 2014 annual survey.
Entries are received from companies across the nation in various industries and categories with the survey evaluating workplace culture and employee engagement.
Katie Rigg-Smith, who was named in B&T’s 29 most influential Women in Media, spoke to Channel 7’s breakfast show, Sunrise, about Mindshare’s commitment to embedding the company’s values through workplace culture. “Everything we do from whether it’s wellbeing, courses, yoga, taking care of people’s fitness to how we challenge them in training, all links to the values we have.”
The result is a remarkable debut in the top 50 for the media agency. Rigg-Smith attributes the significant rise in rankings to feedback and insights from preceding surveys (which is heavily weighted when determining rankings) and a focus on working with staff to create the type of environment they want to work in.
“Each individual within the business contributes to the culture and this award is in recognition of what everyone does every day to make Mindshare such a great place to work. The Great Place to Work survey gives us an honest and frank perspective on how employees feel about imperative aspects to a successful organisation including leadership, communication, value and collaboration.
“Mindshare will continue to work with the Great Place to Work Institute and our staff to understand where we can improve further and maintain our reputation as one of the best places to work in Australia.”
Mindshare staff took to their social networks to share the news including Instagram and Vine videos with a nod to their favourite office perks.
