Leo Burnett Sydney Makes Four Senior Appointments

Leo Burnett Sydney has made four new senior appointments in response to continued new business wins and growing client needs.

The positions are all newly created roles. Stuart Capel has been appointed media business director, Phillipa Thomas has joined as PR director, Naomi Martin is social media director and Sofia Hlinovsky rounds out the new hires as senior account director.

Stuart brings 12 years media expertise gained in London and Sydney, the past six as business director at Initiative where he led the agency’s largest account. During his career, Stuart has worked across brands including Hyundai, Macquarie Bank and SCJohnson.

An award-winning PR professional, Phillipa has more than 12 years experience gained both locally and internationally. With a breadth of skills that extends to leading major global brand accounts, crisis management and launching a new global business in India, PhilIipa has a track-record of inspiring success in those who work with her. Most recently Phillipa was at Haystac and prior to that, Westfield.

Naomi is a social content specialist who has driven social media content strategy and creation for leading FMCG brands in roles as social content director, social content manager and community manager at AMV BBDO.

With her core experience in leading global brands from strategy and creative concept through to production, Sofia has worked in senior account director and manager roles at Y&R, M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather across a range of sectors including finance, fashion, consumer electronics and telcos.
