Haystac has won the public relations account for electronic payments system, eftpos, further establishing the agency’s credentials in the consumer, technology and finance sectors.

Haystac was awarded the eftpos account after a competitive pitch and is tasked with working with eftpos’ internal team on project and retainer PR needs, including digital content, PR (social and traditional) and activations and events.

Haystac will play a key role for eftpos as the company launches a number of new products to the Australian market and reinvigorates its marketing with the new tagline “Helping with everyday”.

Warwick Ponder, executive manager of corporate affairs and communications at eftpos said, “As the most used debit card system in Australia, eftpos was impressed by Haystac’s mix of expertise in tech, finance and consumer, and their creative and rigorous approach to content, PR and social.

“We’re looking forward to working with the Haystac team to deliver ongoing communications campaigns and particularly throughout our rebrand and product launches.”

Tabitha Fairbairn, general manager of Haystac said, “eftpos has been a true pioneer in electronic payment technology in Australia and as the sector expands and develops, we are pleased to be partnering with them to navigate these changes and keep their customers informed.

“Our team is well credentialed in the fintech space and we look forward to bringing this expertise to the account.”

The win adds to the existing portfolio across the technology and financial services space including Dyson Appliances, Veda and Uno Home Loans.
