Freeview has today announced the appointment of Jennifer Lee to the role of head of marketing, responsible for driving promotion of the Freeview platform and its suite of products and services.
Lee has more than 15 years of marketing experience in the entertainment industry including her most recent role as associate director, marketing Asia Pacific at 20th Century Fox, and has held senior marketing roles at Warner Music Australia and Sony Music Entertainment.
Liz Ross, CEO of Freeview, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jennifer to the team at what is a very exciting time for the Freeview platform, particularly following the successful launch of Freeview FV, the world-first mobile live-steaming app, in November last year.
“Jennifer’s considerable marketing experience and understanding of the entertainment industry make her a great fit for Freeview and she will be a big asset for the organisation as we continue to expand our products,” said Ross.
Lee said: “Having worked extensively in the entertainment industry, I am excited to be joining the Freeview team. Freeview has led an impressive and innovative program to revolutionise the TV experience which makes it a very stimulating place to work.”
Launched last November, Freeview FV is a world-first mobile app which delivers live streaming of 19 free-to-air TV channels and catch-up content from all networks on iOS iPhone, iPad, and Android phones. Lee’s appointment is effective immediately.
She replaces Scott Mota who left Freeview in February.
