Nick Sinclair has been named DoorDash’s new lead marketing director in Australia and New Zealand.
Sinclair joins DoorDash with more than 20 years of experience across the US, APAC and ANZ, most recently spending over a decade at Airbnb where he led marketing across APAC during a period of rapid expansion and brand transformation. Known for scaling high-growth businesses and building culturally resonant brands, he brings a global lens shaped by leadership roles in San Francisco, Singapore and Sydney.
The DoorDash role is the most senior marketing position across ANZ, with Sinclair taking on end-to-end responsibility for the company’s marketing strategy and execution. This spans growth, retention, brand and partnerships across consumers, merchants and Dashers and DoorDash’s full ecosystem, including restaurants, grocery, retail and DashPass – with a focus on delivering against ambitious local growth targets.
Reporting directly to DoorDash’s global chief marketing officer, Sinclair will sit at the intersection of global strategy and local execution as a key member of both the global marketing organisation and the ANZ leadership team.
“What excites me most about DoorDash is the opportunity to build a brand that genuinely reflects the role we play in people’s everyday lives – from supporting local businesses to helping consumers access more of their neighbourhood,” said Nick Sinclair, marketing director, DoorDash ANZ in a statement to B&T.
“There’s strong momentum in ANZ, and I’m looking forward to shaping a marketing approach that’s both locally grounded, creatively ambitious and delivers growth for the business.”
DoorDash’s marketing strategy in ANZ will focus on driving sustainable growth across all sides of the marketplace, supporting merchants, engaging consumers, and empowering Dashers – while continuing to build a distinctive, locally relevant brand in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Sinclair officially took up the reins of the DoorDash role in February.
