Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Rebecca Tos to the newly created role of chief marketing officer for the group across ANZ and promoted her to CEO of digital performance marketing agency Columbus.
The joint roles will see Rebecca retain her leadership of Columbus, which she joined as managing director in November 2012 whilst extending her remit to focus on marketing initiatives for the DAN group. She takes on the roles on her return from maternity leave.
Simon Ryan (pictured), CEO DAN ANZ, said, “Rebecca is highly regarded professional within our business and within the industry. Rebecca’s skills see her as one of digital marketing’s best leaders, with good reason.
“Over her 3.5 years with Columbus, Rebecca has built a strong and successful team with a terrific culture and grown the business significantly. This includes driving the launch of Columbus into Asia and establishing it as a key brand for DAN in the region.
“As chief marketing officer of DAN ANZ, Bec will work closely with myself and DAN’s executive leadership team, of which she is part of, to drive key local and global DAN marketing initiatives. It’s good to bring Bec back from her maternity leave into a new opportunity and I know she’ll excel in her dual roles.”
Matthew Crook, chief strategy officer and CEO of performance and data for Dentsu Aegis Network, added, “I’m looking forward to working closely with Bec in both facets of her roles. She’s an outstanding performer and we are really looking forward to her contribution at both a DAN and Columbus level.”
Rebecca Tos said, “I’m excited and energised to play a more strategic role within the group, working closely with Simon, Matt and the broader DAN Executive Leadership team.
“It is an exciting time within the group and I’m looking forward to applying my marketing expertise toward our DAN 2020 ambition, whilst continuing to lead the Columbus business. Supported by my superb Columbus leadership team, we will continue to drive excellent value and results for our clients.”
