Dentsu Aegis Names Carat’s Catherine Krantz As Head Of Diversity & Inclusion

Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ has announced the appointment of long-standing Carat employee Catherine Krantz (pictured above, right) to the newly-created role of head of diversity and inclusion for the network.

The move reaffirms the communications network’s ongoing commitment to championing diverse and inclusive thinking that generates better outcomes for its clients, people, partners and communities.

In her capacity as Dentsu Aegis Network’s head of diversity and inclusion, Krantz will support the network’s executive leadership team as it implements a number of initiatives designed to create positive change across its ANZ business.

Krantz – a founding member of Carat – has been a well-respected member of the media agency’s team for more than 16 years. During this time, she has been at the forefront of cultivating an inclusive culture, including flexible working and driving diversity of thought within the leadership team.

To ensure the evolution of Dentsu Aegis Network’s approach to the subject, the group has established a Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council. Comprised of people from across the network led by Krantz, the council promises to shape and drive the diversity and inclusion agenda in each brand and function.

Simon Ryan (pictured above, left), CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ, said; “This appointment marks a significant milestone for our business. We believe that with a focus on creative thinking, diversity of perspectives, approaches and backgrounds our clients, talent and business will deliver outstanding results.

“Catherine’s proven track record in spearheading and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture gave me confidence in her ability to lead the way as Dentsu Aegis Network’s first head of diversity and inclusion. I look forward to supporting Catherine as we make progress.”

Commenting on her new role, Krantz said: “It’s both a huge privilege  and responsibility to take on this role. I am excited to work in partnership with the Diversity & Inclusion Council and executive leadership team as we continue to build a culture that brings out the best of our people by recognising and celebrating everyone as individuals.”
