Content marketing business Brand New Media has announced David Borean in the role of managing director for its Australian and New Zealand operations.
Borean will drive Brand New Media’s video production capabilities and end-to-end digital content marketing offerings for brands, agencies and broadcasters. Borean has been managing partner of Brand New Media’s recently acquired Waterfront Entertainment since 2012, and previously a director of Talkforce and general manager for DMG radio stations Nova 969 and 95.3FM.
Chief executive officer of BNM, Perry Smith was delighted to announce his appointment: “David has a depth of experience and credential in both the entertainment marketing and communications space, and a intimate knowledge of the Brand New Media business and its offerings. His commercial acumen and strong track record makes him the ideal person to lead our business into the next phase of its evolution. We are delighted to have David move into the BNM Global Executive team and run our Australian and NZ business.”
Smith, an innovator and driver of Australia’s content marketing industry, has overseen the growth of BNM into a global content marketing business, which create, own and operate advertiser-funded digital channels, develop program concepts and produce video content for TV and connected devices. Borean’s appointment aligns with the company entering a new phase as industry thought leaders in an evolving media landscape.

Borean commences in the role effective immediately.
