Corporate communicator CallidusPR has taken home two prestigious awards: the Gold Standard award for Government Relations and for Corporate Citizenship (Global- Asia) at the annual Gold Standard Awards 2014 held in Hong Kong.
The Gold Standard Awards, awarded by PublicAffairsAsia, showcase excellence in communications, public affairs, sustainability and governmental communications.
CallidusPR won in the Government Relations category for its successful campaign to retain gender reporting requirements in Australia, developed on behalf of the Coalition for Working Women (CWW) by Joint Managing Director Viv Hardy.
The Corporate Citizenship (Global-Asia) award recognised CallidusPR’s highly successful PR campaign to drive take up of the Adecco Group’s Way To Work program in Australia and New Zealand; a global corporate social responsibility initiative to help young unemployed people to find work, and was created by Joint Managing Director Louise Nealon.
Closer to home, CallidusPR recently won the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s (PRIA) NSW State Award for Excellence in Public Affairs and was Highly Commended in that category at the National Golden Target Awards for the campaign to retain gender reporting. These accolades cement CallidusPR’s outstanding track record for developing and implementing successful public affairs campaigns.
Joint managing directors Viv Hardy and Louise Nealon said: “We are delighted to receive these prestigious international awards that recognise Australian campaigns on a very competitive regional stage. We would like to thank Public Affairs Asia and our clients for allowing us to collaborate with them on these fantastic projects and to develop campaigns that are not only creative but cut through and achieve their objectives.”
Commenting on the awards, Elizabeth Hernandez, chairman of the program, said: “This year we saw an excellent range of nominations across a wide range of categories and the judges faced a tough task. Now in their sixth year, the awards set the benchmark for excellence in corporate public affairs and stakeholder engagement across Asia Pacific. Securing a Gold Standard Award is a mark of success and sets your organisation apart from its peers.”
More than 60 judges – all senior practitioners – took part in selecting the winners.
