Carat Brisbane Heats Up New Relationship With Barbeques Galore Account Win

Carat has been appointed to manage all media for Australia’s leading barbeque and outdoor retailer, Barbeques Galore, following a closed pitch process.

As the current media agency of retail partner, Super A-Mart, the appointment expands Carat’s existing relationship with the BBQSAM group across multiple brands, building upon retail expertise for the agency. The account will be managed out of Carat’s Brisbane office, and includes media for all metro-based stores nationally, representing over $5million in billings.

Barbeques Galore CEO, Luke Naish, said, “Barbequing is a quintessential part of the Australian lifestyle and culture, and the team at Carat really embraced that. We were impressed by their strategic and digital capabilities, and look forward to working with them to evolve the iconic Barbeques Galore brand.”

Gab Merrick, managing director of Carat Brisbane, added, “Barbeques Galore truly are a market-leading brand, operating in a demanding and competitive landscape, who have always embraced the need to evolve to fit the rapidly changing retail space. We look forward to working closely with Barbeques Galore to help them take the next step on their journey.”

The agreement commences officially on September 1, 2015.
