Ben and Jerry’s Openair Cinemas has announced this season its will be visiting a total of nine venues during the annual tour around Australia and, for the first time ever, New Zealand.
Since 2003 the alfresco seasonal festival has been bringing music by day and movies by night to iconic locations around Australia. Starting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach over a decade ago, the roaming event will this season take in new venues at the Gold Coast’s Broadbeach, Sydney’s Inner West, and a first-ever international visit to Auckland, as well as established crowd favourite locations in Brisbane’s South Bank, Melbourne’s St Kilda Beach, Canberra’s Patrick White Lawn, home turf at Bondi Beach, Adelaide’s Glenelg Beach and East Perth.
The addition of the three new venues cements Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas as the largest of its kind in Australia and New Zealand.
Alex Khadra, Openair Cinemas’ director, commented: “I couldn’t be more proud of what our team has accomplished, and I hope that locals at our new venues will embrace the event and welcome us back for exciting annual visits in future seasons.”
