Creative agency B.B.E has announced its acquisition of long-term video production partner Media Creatures.
The merger will see B.B.E grow to 50 staff across Sydney and Melbourne, offering a range of services including creative, content, social and PR, as well as technology, digital and now video production.
B.B.E and Media Creatures have been working together since 2015, collaborating on a number of campaigns, including the Medibank 2018 Invictus Games partnership, along with other live action, animation, live stream and broadcast content.
Adam Beaupeurt, strategy director at B.B.E, said: “We’ve worked closely with Media Creatures for a number of years, so this acquisition has been an organic progression and a natural fit that formalises the strong relationship we’ve formed.
“From this foundation, and with clearly aligned and complementary skills, culture and services, Media Creatures becoming a part of B.B.E will offer improved value and breadth of production abilities for clients, along with efficiencies in speed of creative and delivery.”
“Our clients are already experiencing the benefit of having video production vertically integrated with the rest of the B.B.E team, as well as the new ideas, skills and enthusiasm the Media Creatures team brings. We’re excited for what the future holds.”
B.B.E, which supports both large blue-chip brands and fast-growing Australian start-ups, currently provides communications and technology services for Medibank, Momentum Energy, Specsavers and Roadshow, among others.
Media Creatures founder and now video production director at B.B.E, Tim Hamilton, said: “We couldn’t be more excited by the merger with B.B.E. It has already opened up new and creative opportunities for the whole team.”
“The opportunities for all B.B.E employees to further expand their skillset is particularly exciting, with production and creatives getting the opportunity to get closer to the video production process and edit suite, while the experience design team will learn more on motion graphics. This gets the team closer to the client problems we’re solving.”
