Meghan Markle is set to appear as a guest judge on the new season of Masterchef Australia. Markle, who is famous for her star role on Suits and making honey on a Netflix series, is a contentious choice as a judge on Australia’s favourite cooking TV show.

This guest appearance marks her latest foray into the lifestyle and cooking genre, following Netflix’s decision not to renew Markle’s cooking and lifestyle show With Love, Megan in January of this year due to poor viewership.

The addition of Markle has quickly divided the nation, as the public debates her relevance to the beloved Aussie cooking competition.

Markle is currently touring Australia with her husband, Prince Harry. Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the couple no longer undertake tours on behalf of Buckingham Palace.

It is the first time the pair have visited Australia since their 2018 royal tour.
