Visual effects firm Alt.vfx celebrated International Women’s Day last week with a barbecue garden party at its Darlinghurst studio.
The guest list included over 100 of some of the brightest and best female talent working in the Australian creative industry, including women from creative agencies, production companies, post-production and sound houses.
Hosted by Alt.vfx executive producer Aborah Buick, the event was designed to help build a more deeply connected female creative community that can better support diversity in the advertising industry.
“Our industry is one of the largest influencers when it comes to popular culture and social change,” Buick said.
“I think we have a responsibility to ensure that our ideas have many different voices behind them.
“I was so inspired by the conversations that were being had on the day. I’ve never felt more positive about the future of our industry and what we can achieve together.”
The guests enjoyed an afternoon of music and networking, as well as some delicious food cooked on the barbie.
