Zenith Picks Up Luxottica Global Media Account

Zenith has been awarded the global media account of eyewear company Luxottica.

Zenith takes the account out of the hands of incumbent OMD, which won the account in 2012. OMD did not re-pitch.

Luxottica is estimated to be worth more than $150 million and owns brands including Ray-Ban and Oakley and makes frames for Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Burberry and Giorgio Armani.

This is the second win for Zenith this week, with the agency picking up the global media business for dairy company Lactalis yesterday.

The win sees Zenith retain all its existing markets in EMEA, APAC, including Australia, and Lat Am and takes on 11 new ones, including Canada, UK and USA.

Zenith declined to make a comment on the Luxottica win.
