In non-coronavirus news, comes a new and inspiring podcast to help us all see the light at the end of the quarantine tunnel – Everyday Heroes with Bernie Shakeshaft.
Founder of BackTrack Youth Works, 2020 Australian Local Hero of the Year, and podcast host Bernie Shakeshaft is the epitome of an everyday hero. A country boy at heart, Bernie’s life has been anything but easy and now he’s on a mission to help other Aussie kids left behind or dismissed by society.
Each episode Shakeshaft is joined by another everyday hero as he hunts to answer one big question – what does it mean to be a hero?
So far he has been joined by other Australian of the Year recipients, climate change warriors, youth worker cops, sporting legends, and social change activists – and we’re only 5 episodes in.
(Rumour has it the lineup could even be graced by 2019/2020 Best Human on Earth, Jacinda Ardern – watch this space)
The podcast was recorded and launched alongside a creative campaign for a million dollar media plan in just 10 days.
Working with UnLtd, the team of young creatives and strategists produced a campaign rollout across TVC, radio, digital, and outdoor.
Stream Everyday Heroes now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get to your podcasts.
