Women In Media People’s Choice Closes Today – And The Heat Is On!

Women In Media People’s Choice Closes Today – And The Heat Is On!

Women in Media’s popularity contest award – the People’s Choice – closes today at 5pm on the dot, and in the final hours of voting, there’s but a hair separating the frontrunners, with more than 20,000 votes submitted overall.

Following our story that Sydney Festival’s Tina Walsberger had slid backwards in her rank, it looks as though she’s rustled up some serious efforts to crawl back up the ladder, because she’s back in second spot, trailing Nine’s Anne Gruber with plenty of fervour.

Nine Entertainment on its own stands in third spot currently, followed closely by Carat’s Natalie Kean and the two Monkeys ladies, Barb Humphries and Mollie Hill, respectively.

There’s but a few votes between each entrant, so right now, it’s anyone’s game. Get your votes in here, people, this is your final chance! And to see if your favourite takes the crown, be sure to get your tickets here.

Here’s your latest top 10 as of 11am:

  1. Anne Gruber – Nine Entertainment Company
  2. Tina Walsberger – Sydney Festival
  3. Nine Entertainment
  4. Natalie Kean – Carat Australia
  5. Barbara Humphries – The Monkeys
  6. Mollie Hill – The Monkeys
  7. Sharyn Smith – Social Soup
  8. Shivani Maharaj – Maxus Communications
  9. Venessa Hunt – GroupM
  10. Jo Wallace – Humans of Newtown

Women in Media will be held on Friday August 19 at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, where all your winners will be revealed. If you missed the Awards shortlist, check it out here.

Thanks as always to our fabulous sponsors as well!
