WhatsApp Spoofs User Privacy In Witty First Ever Campaign

WhatsApp is probably one of those platforms we all use without ever ranking in a list of favourites or many of us giving too much thought about.

However, owner, Facebook/Meta, would like us to use it a little bit more, launching the platform’s first advertising campaign in the US.

Called “Doubt Delivered”, the amusing spot’s the work of BBDO San Francisco and was directed by Lauren Greenfield (of P&G’s “Like A Girl” fame.)

As you’ll see, a nosey postman is the star of the work which is all about emphasising WhatsApp’s supreme privacy when sending and receiving messages.

According to data by Facebook/Meta, some 5.5 billion unencrypted texts are sent in the US every day. Against that, the TVC stresses the platform’s commitment to protecting personal conversations and confidential information.
