10’s Australian Survivor – with its star-studded cast – launched to some impressive numbers last night.

It managed 807,000 metro viewers last night and was up 13 per cent on last year according to 10.

The network’s chief content officer, Beverley McGarvey, said: “Last night’s Australian Survivor launch was a fantastic start to what we believe is the best season yet.

“A huge thanks and congratulations to the all the competitors, Jonathan and the brilliant team behind the scenes who have put together yet another amazing season. These contestants really are here to play and we can’t wait to share more of what’s to come.”

It was a tight tussle for the Wednesday night win with Seven sneaking home with 25.9 per cent audience share (all channels). On the back of Survivor, 10 nabbed second and 24.2 per cent. Nine was forced into an unusual position – third – with 24 per cent. The ABC had 16.8 per cent and SBS did 9.1 per cent.

Other highlights for 10 included The Project (487,000) and My Life Is Murder (353,000).

Over at the ABC, Anh’s Brush With Fame featuring David Wenham was impressive with 722,000. Other highlights for Aunty were its 7pm news (630,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (607,000) and 7.30 (580,000).

Seven’s standouts were its 6pm news (1.084 million), Home And Away (652,000), The Chase (604,000) and Britain’s Got Talent (451,000).

Nine’s best was its 6pm news (902,000), ACA (760,000), Hot Seat (556,000) and Young Sheldon (481,000).

Once again, 24 Hours In Emergency was SBS’ best with 222,000.
